The party splits to clear the dungeon:
Group 1 - Alora and V to the WereRat
- Can’t see the rat from through the gap in the wall.
- They shove a goblin corpse through the gap in the wall.
- They hear it fall to the ground.
- It takes a minute, but this rat comes up to it, sniffs it, looks down the passageway. It sees the two of them and growls at them. It’s not interested in the goblin corpse.
- They attempt to speak to it from the hallway.
- “I don’t want to hurt you”
- Roll persuasion with disadvantage.
- “We’ve done so much fighting, I don’t want to fight. What are you guarding?”
- Defensive, doesn’t reveal any information.
- Why are you so curious? It doesn’t concern you.
- V casts “starry whisp” to illuminate the target for Alora. Does 3 radiant damage.
- Roll initiative
- Alora casts toll of the dead. Wis 12 save, save fails. 1d8 necrotic damage, hits for 4.* If missing any HP it’s 1d12 damage, does 6 damage.
- The warerat can’t fit through the thing
- V says “are you done now?”
- Roll persuasion, it works. he replies… “yeah.” lol
- He says, “I’m dead either way. I’m guarding my crew’s spoils.”
- V - your crew doesn’t need them anymore…
- WR - it won’t fit through the crack
- V - how did they get it in there?
- WR - there’s another door.
- V - is it locked?
- WR - no.
- V - Offers to allow it to flee. Roll persuasion, 18, works. Sits in the corner docily.
They go through the crack in the wall to enter the room.
